Overview
Pelican Valley Bank adds a separate bank account to Stardew Valley without replacing the farmer's normal wallet. Deposits, withdrawals, balances, interest, and transaction records are presented through the bank's book and in-world correspondence.
Pelican Valley Bank is officially supported as an app for the Smartphone mod. Smartphone is optional: the bank remains fully usable through its normal in-game interface when Smartphone is not installed.
Features
- Separate checking and savings balances
- Deposits, withdrawals, and account status commands
- Interest tracking with pending and posted amounts
- Transaction history and bankbook records
- In-world invitation and account-opening flow
- Official Smartphone app integration
- Existing-save support and multiplayer-safe account ownership
Installation
- Install SMAPI if it is not already installed.
- Extract Pelican Valley Bank into the Stardew Valley Mods folder.
- Launch the game through SMAPI and complete the bank's invitation or account-opening flow.
- Install Smartphone separately if the Pelican Valley Bank app is wanted; it is not required for the bank itself.
- GMCM is optional and only adds in-game configuration controls.
Multiplayer
- The bank account belongs to the farm and is not duplicated for each player.
- Transactions and balance changes are recorded once through the host-safe game flow.
- The Smartphone app is an optional interface to the same bank account, not a separate account system.
Changelog
0.4.1-beta Save safety, Android input, and earnings safeguards
- Fixed QuickSave balance loss by checkpointing PVB data before QuickSave snapshots are built.
- Added immediate save-data checkpoints after account opening, deposits, withdrawals, internal transfers, and companion-mod credits.
- Added recovery guards for missing or unexpectedly empty account records without overwriting the last distinct recovery state.
- Fixed custom amount entry on Android through Stardew's text-entry and soft-keyboard path.
- Fixed wallet withdrawals being counted as newly earned income, including authoritative multiplayer wallet synchronization.
- Kept save schema 4 unchanged; updating from 0.4.0 does not migrate, reset, or rewrite account ownership or balances.
0.4.0-beta Native Smartphone banking and transfer confirmations
- Added a Smartphone-native Pelican Valley Bank interface using Smartphone's public frame, theme, scaling, position, and navigation APIs.
- Added Home, Transfer, Activity, and Details tabs with wallet, checking, savings, pending interest, transactions, account terms, and a bankbook shortcut.
- Added exact amount/source/destination confirmations before transfers in both the phone app and regular bankbook.
- Kept Smartphone optional; the phone owns no banking state and every transfer uses the existing host-authoritative handlers.
- Kept save schema 4 unchanged so adding, updating, or removing Smartphone cannot alter bank balances.
0.3.0-beta Optional Smartphone launcher
- Added official optional integration with HaPyke's Smartphone framework.
- Registered a Pelican Valley Bank phone app that opens the existing bankbook flow.
- Kept Smartphone behind SMAPI's optional API lookup with no compile-time DLL reference.
- Confirmed that Smartphone-specific code stores no balance or account data.
0.2.0-beta.1 Checking, savings, and integration foundation

- Added public API v1 direct credits, durable external-payment receipts, and idempotency protection.
- Expanded host-authoritative multiplayer requests and added account-selection and internal-transfer diagnostics.
0.1.0 Release candidate
- Added the Pelican Valley Bank invitation, application, and next-morning approval flow.
- Added existing-save onboarding, a permanent account number, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and overflow checks.

- Added request retry protection, wallet-mode safeguards, schema migration, sequence repair, and backup recovery.
